Roll over to a new financial year

Use Rollover to New Year when you have finished the current financial year and want to open the next period with a clean register.
Before you start: export or back up your data first. If you need to review or restore year-end changes later, a backup gives you a safe reference point.
Before you roll over
Work through the register in this order: update any Asset Disposal entries, confirm your Depreciation Settings by Category, run Recalculate, review Filters and groups, then generate an Audit Report.
Record every disposal for the current period.
Check the financial year start date and depreciation settings.
Use Recalculate so stale values do not carry forward.
Review filtered or grouped views to make sure no assets are hidden.
Generate Audit Report and save it for your records.
Start the rollover
On the spreadsheet view, open Rollover to New Year. If you have not finished disposals, choose Yes, record disposals and complete them first. If you are ready, choose No, proceed with rollover, then continue through the prompts until you reach Confirm Rollover.
The rollover flow is available only on the last day of the fiscal year or after. If you see a timing warning, wait until the correct date.
Common issues
Rolling over too early: disposals entered later will not be reflected in the new year.
Wrong financial year: check the year start date before you confirm.
Stale calculations: always run Recalculate before you roll over.
Missing audit trail: generate and save the Audit Report before you switch periods.
If you need to review the register after rollover, use Filters and disposal guidance to verify what carried forward.
